What We Do

We work with our clients to consistently deliver projects that have positive and lasting benefits for people, wildlife and the environment.  We are an ecological consultancy providing high quality, pragmatic solutions and advice in a timely and cost effective way, ensuring compliance with wildlife legislation and policy.  

Working closely with our clients and collaborating with others at the design stage is key to delivering successful projects.  On large or complex projects, we often form part of a wider consultancy team, providing specific specialist advice or additional survey resources.

We have expertise in a range of ecology surveys including:
  • Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
  • Hedgerow Surveys
  • Habitat Condition Assessments
  • Bats (Natural England survey licence holder): Habitat, tree & building inspections and assessments; emergence/return surveys; activity surveys; sound analysis; mitigation design, implementation and on site supervision (as named ecologist on Natural England mitigation licences).
  • Dormouse (Natural England survey licence holder): habitat assessment; presence/likely absence and monitoring surveys; mitigation design, implementation and on site supervision (as named ecologist on Natural England mitigation licences).
  • Badgers: habitat assessment; sett monitoring.
  • Water Vole and Otter: habitat assessment; presence/likely absence surveys.
  • Great crested newt (Natural England survey licence holder): HIS; habitat assessments; eDNA; presence/likely absence surveys and population estimates; mitigation design, implementation and on site supervision (as named ecologist on Natural England mitigation licences).
  • Reptiles: habitat assessment; presence/likely absence surveys and population estimates using refugia, direct observation & terrestrial refuge searches; mitigation design, implementation and on site supervision.
